My sister is the most sage person I know

I need to have this as my mantra.  My life has so far been a collection of appealing to other peoples' needs and expectations, and never of my own.  I need so much more than I've been.

And this is my moment to take control of my life.  I won't let another moment(day/month/year) be for only someone else.  I will work for me.

Maybe putting "Grad" in my blog is a bit misleading, because I am three weeks away from my college graduation.

But I have graduated from high school, from middle school, from elementary school, from preschool.

And I have graduated from the illegal drinking ages, from "virginity," from living at home.

I have graduated from many other things in life, even if I don't get to wear a gown and get a diploma for such things.

I have yet to fall in love, I have yet to get a real job, I have many things yet to graduate from.

And I have yet to stop looking for new things to experience, to love.

I will break through the barrier that I've had for the past 21 years and see new things, know new things, believe new things.  College graduation may be a few weeks away, but that doesn't have to mean that I have to wait til then to feel new again.

This is the beginning of all things.
